Trains to Liverpool

Liverpool has three main stations and several smaller, local stations.

Liverpool Lime Street (LIV): This station has a mainline section with national and local overground services and the Merseyrail Underground station. An hourly express service runs to London Euston as well as frequent services to Birmingham. Services also run to Norwich, Scarborough, Birmingham, Blackpool, Manchester, Preston, Warrington Bank Quay and Wigan North Western amongst others.

This station is served by East Midlands Trains, First TransPennine Express, London Midland, Northern Rail and Virgin Trains.

Liverpool Central (LVC): Served by Merseyrail, this is the central hub of the Merseyrail network with services to Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby, Hunts Cross, New Brighton, West Kirby and Hooton amongst other destinations.

Liverpool South Parkway (LPY): This is the main station to serve Liverpool John Lennon Airport with links to the city centre, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and the Midlands amongst other destinations.
