Trains to Newcastle
There are three main railway stations in Newcastle.
Newcastle Central (NCL): Newcastle's principal station operates services to London, Leeds, Sheffield, Derby, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Plymouth, Reading, York, Doncaster Edinburgh and Glasgow. Trains also run to Manchester with regional services across the North East and Cumbria. Services are operated by CrossCountry, National Express East Coast, First TransPennine Express, Northern Rail and First Scot Rail.
Newcastle Airport (APN): Officially named 'Airport', this station serves Newcastle Airport and is the terminus of the Green Line of the Tyne and Wear Metro, which also serves Newcastle upon Tyne. Services from here go to Sunderland and Newcastle's Central Station.
Central Station Metro station (NCZ): This underground station of the Tyne and Wear Metro runs services to South Shields, Sunderland and South Hylton amongst others.
